Seat Walls & Garden Walls

Low walls do a lot of work. A seat wall gives guests a place to sit without more furniture, a garden wall holds soil for a raised bed and a curved wall can enclose a patio without blocking the view. We build them on solid footings with caps wide enough to sit on and comfortable to touch.

We build in natural stone, brick and stone veneer over block, with straight, curved and stepped layouts, caps in stone or precast and integrated lighting where wanted. In Nashville yards, these walls often link a patio to a fire pit, a stair to a garden or a driveway to an entry, and we shape them to match the architecture of the house.

How tall should a seat wall be?

About the height of a chair seat is comfortable, and we adjust for your space and use.

Can a garden wall hold soil?

Low walls can, with drainage and a solid base. Taller walls are treated as retaining walls.

Can lights be added to a wall?

Yes. We install conduit during the build and fit low-voltage lights in the cap or face.
