Concrete Footings & Slabs

Every masonry structure stands on something, and a footing that is too shallow, too narrow or poorly reinforced will eventually let the structure move. We excavate to depth, place rebar, form and pour footings and slabs and cure them properly before any weight is added.

We pour footings for walls and columns, slabs for outdoor kitchens and fireplaces, pads for generators and equipment, and foundations for small buildings, running conduit and sleeves where utilities will pass. Around Nashville, where clay soil can swell and shrink, footings are set below frost depth and on undisturbed soil whenever the site allows.

FAQ

Common questions about footings & slabs

How deep should a footing be?

Footings go below frost depth, which varies by location, and onto stable soil. We build to local rules.

How long should a footing cure?

Concrete gains strength over days, and we wait long enough before adding load.

Can you pour a slab for an outdoor kitchen?

Yes. We pour reinforced slabs with conduit and sleeves for gas, water and power.
