Brick Repair & Replacement

A single bad brick can let water into a wall. Spalled faces, cracked units and missing pieces all need to be replaced, and doing it well means removing the old brick without damaging its neighbors, cleaning the opening, buttering the new brick and setting it so the joints line up with the courses around it.

Finding the right brick is half the job. We look for salvage and matching new brick, compare size, color and texture and blend several tones when the original has a range. Across Nashville's older neighborhoods, a patch that stands out is a disappointment, so we take samples and take care with the match.
